well today i went out with melissa, v, sam and nikki. my dad drove me to west coast park because we were supposed to meet at the McDonalds there. My dad parked the car one carpark away from the Macs, so he decided to walk with me there. I didn't bring a bottle, and it was scorching hot. So i tried looking for a 7 eleven. But there wasn't any, not even a kiosk.
so we walked into Macs and bought a large Coke. my dad whined for fries, but i told him no, because he needed to lose weight.
we waited for half an hour, then mel called me and said, "jess, where are you?"
"i'm at macs. where are you?"
"im in macs too! i can't see you anywhere."
"oh, i can't see you either. are you sure you're in west coast park?"
"west coast park?? im in east coast park!! are you pulling another prank on me?"
"err...no i'm serious."
"oh my god. do you need a lift?"
"no my dad is here."
i put down the phone, and the first thing my dad said to me was, "you owe me fries."
"alright", i said.
"a lot of fries."
as we hurried back to the car, he said, "aren't you glad that i walked with you?"
and then, "at least there's a 7 eleven there."
it was like some kind of crazy tour around singapore. it took us half an hour to reach east coast park. amazingly, i wasn't the latest.
i decided to try my luck with inline skating. it was my first time, and when i tried to skate down the ramp, i lost my balance, grabbed melissa's elbow for help, fell, and dragged her down with me. i landed on top of her in the midst of the crowd, while she screamed at me as i tried to get up. i don't blame her, really.
it took us half an hour to skate one kilometre to the Carls Junior. there was a ramp leading up to it. mel skated up it easily. i stood at the bottom and shouted, "are you crazy? how am i supposed to skate up this? i can't even skate on flat land!"
she rolled down and said, "i'll pull you."
so she held my arm while i tried my best to skate up, but with every push forward, i rolled back down the slope. i looked extremely retarded.
"forget it," i said. so i knelt down and crawled up the ramp on all fours instead. Melissa laughed. she wasn't the only one. a bunch of guys stood laughing at me too, but i didn't care. at least i made it up the ramp.
after a quick bite, we skated back with sam,v and nikki on bicycles. they gave us a fifteen minute headstart. but this time, i only took fifteen minutes! hor.
i'm sore. and i ache.
