i'm in the sheraton roma hotel using free internet in the lobby, typing with an italian keyboard, and reading instructions off the screen in italian. heehee. i reached the hotel yesterday at 3 something? then played cards with my bros for 2 hours straight and then we were so desperate we watched pokémon in italian on TV.
we've ditched the car and we're using public transport to get around rome right now. today was a really long day...went to see the colosseum, pantheon, palatine, the Trevvy fountain and the cappuchin tombs. harhar, they were cool stuff. the first 3 landmarks were mostly ruins, but the cappuchin tombs was the most interesting cos the cemetery was sorta made outta bones and skulls and lots of dead bodies were everywhere. but it's a holy place so it's alright. (: the fountain was totally awesome! i don't know how to describe it really, but it was too cool to be true. i should paste a pic of it here when i get home. well, at the fountain the tradition is for people to throw a coin into the fountain over their left shoulder, cos if you do that you'll come back to rome for a second time. hahaha! cute. then we had to run about 2 to 3km all over the streets of Rome back to the place where the bus will pick us up because we walked so much today. hahaha! but it really warmed me up cos it was damn cold. grrr! my dad da baoed - if that's how you spell it - Macs for us for dinner, cos a sandwhich in the hotel cost us £14...yucks! so bloody expensive.
tomorrow is going to be another long dayyy! gonna see the vatican and 3 churches and maybe the spanish steps and maybe some more ruins. nooo! but then sunday will be pretty boring, cos i'll be catching the morning flight back to singapore...it takes about 12 hours, and since i'm 7 hours behind you all, i'll reach in the morning at about 6.45am on the 21st of December, reach home at 9 something, change and bathe, grab something to eat, then head over to amk hub to buy something that costs $2 for the gift exchange at track camp, then go to school at 12 something. whee! can't wait to see all the sprinters too! hahaha! XDD wonder how you all are doing mann..
